LOS ANGELES BALLOT MEASURES A AND M PASS
Voters Pledge Support for More Parks and a Transportation Plan to Provide for More Access to Open, Green Space
LOS ANGELES (November 9, 2016)—Los Angeles voters turned out to support funding for parks and better transportation, with the passing of Measures A and M.
“This is a huge win for our communities,” said Omar Gomez, Chair of the San Gabriel Mountains Forever and Program Director with COFEM, the Council of Mexican Federations. “Measure A will provide much-needed funding for park-poor communities and Measure M will create more public transit and active transportation options to help provide access to parks and open, green spaces.”
